When I encourage women to start a “Tracking God” Journal, the #1 question I hear is:

What if I’m not a journal-er?

And here’s the truth:

I’m not really a journal-er, either!

I understand the burden of wondering what to write in a notebook filled with blank pages. For me, “Tracking God” is not a time to take long, copious notes.

I’ve come to think of it as “faith self-coaching.” (And believe me, I’ve always struggled in the faith department!)

As I’m reading my devotional or my Bible, I’ll have my journal open, ready to record what God is showing me. I was telling a friend that it’s like magic: with my journal open beside me and my gel pens within reach, it’s my way of inviting God to meet me in the struggle.

In a nutshell, this system is about taking quick notes and tracking the connections to what God is doing in my life.

The goal is not to have a pristine journal that follows specific rules; it’s about creating a space for quality time spent with God.

Your “Tracking God” journal also becomes this amazing resource where you’re able to look back and say, “Look what God has done.” For example, I can turn to page 29 and remember how overwhelmed I was AND how I tracked God through it!

And, I’m able to do this without reading thru pages and pages of journal writing.

“Tracking God” is a process that can anchor your faith when life is hard.

It’s noticing God at work so you’re able to feel His presence with you.

If that sounds like something that would be helpful, then Tracking God would be PERFECT FOR YOU!

Here’s an easy way to get started—

Begin each day this week by praying, “Lord, please open my eyes and awaken my heart so I can see glimpses of you throughout my day.”

I’m praying for you, and I can’t wait to hear about what God shows you!
