I want to share something with you that I think will encourage your faith SO MUCH! Last week I had the honor of being interviewed by my friend, Cheri Fletcher, about how I use my journal to track God. Cheri wrote a follow-up email that beautifully illustrates the power of telling God, “I know you see me, AND… I want you to know… I see YOU. You will be blessed!!
It can be hard to realize that God has a beautiful plan for our lives when we end up stuck in an uncomfortable holding pattern. How can you ignite a spark of hope in the midst of waiting and suffering? What can you do to stay anchored to your faith when you feel like life has stalled? I’m hoping to offer some encouragement as I share about my last week and reflect on the faithfulness of God throughout my life.
The issues our country is facing today are huge… not an easy quick fix. The discussions need to happen, beginning in our own homes. I’m sharing a glimpse into my own journey of making the effort to listen well. In other words—I blew it last week, but I’m thankful for fresh starts and more chances to quickly mend the fences!
Spending emotional energy on the wrong thoughts WILL affect our lives. I’m sharing some strategies for being the ‘gatekeeper’ of what we allow ourselves to focus on. And… I’ve got a fun Olivia story to help visualize it.
It has been such a sweet time of prayer each day as I focused my thoughts on Psalm 25:4-5… “Show me your ways, O Lord.” In this post I’m sharing how I emphasized the word ME in the phrase, finding some powerful insight into my own life about staying in my lane.
I started the week off with questioning the whole idea of how effective is prayer. I really want to know! And I really was needing some encouragement that God is still in the business of hearing and answering prayer. He’s so faithful!! I know I say that all the time, but it’s because I have these moments of asking the hard questions, and discovering more of him as I search for answers.
Sometimes life catches us off guard and hard things come our way. We are all smack dab in the middle of navigating the COVID-19 global pandemic and needing to place our hope in God more than ever. I’m also walking through a recent diagnosis and looking for God in the midst of it. I’d love to share my journey with you as it unfolds, hoping we can encourage one another through all of it.
We have the choice each and every day to choose how we will think. I’m sharing a strategy I’ve used over and over to manage my thoughts toward faith and hope rather than doom and gloom. It’s a powerful one!
Trusting God’s plan is a major theme for my life… as you’ve probably noticed. I’ve been on an intentional journey of faith for a number of years and I love to write about it. I’m sharing a quick story to help illustrate how hard is to give up control of our destiny, trusting where God is taking us.
